How it works

While there are over 100 compounds within turmeric, it typically contains 3-6% curcumin by weight. Curcumin is hypothesized to be one of the major beneficial compounds. Theracurmin is the most bioavailable form of curcumin and is routinely used in supplemental forms, which allows a user to get the most benefit.

Its beneficial properties have been demonstrated through several mechanisms of action, and continue to be studied today. Particularly, curcumin has been shown to significantly reduce C-reactive protein (CRP), a marker of inflammation, in as little as 8 weeks. Overall, there is an overwhelming amount of research supporting turmeric’s role in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities*.
